Jim Fisher, Real Estate Broker
Jim Fisher, Real Estate Broker, REALTOR ®
Born in Ottawa in 1956, I grew up in a large family in the east end and my dad always had an affinity for properties. We were always blessed with cottages and travel to rural areas. I also have a history of lifelong learning, l I did a pass degree at Ottawa University (B.Sc. Biology), then went to Guelph University for my honours B.Sc. Agriculture, and then did a Masters in Agriculture Economics (M.Sc. Ag.Ec.). I have worked for Manitoba Agriculture, the Federal Farm Debt Review Board, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and the University of Guelph. I have now retired from the Kemptville Campus as it was closed. I now have my brokers licence.
I am an Agriculture Economist (researcher and lecturer in business) and taught for 27 years. I love to farm, I love to be outdoors, I love business and I love to build houses. Given all that, I decided to enter the real estate business several years back. I am very fond of commercial farm clients as I have great respect for them; I enjoy very much helping those look for ‘small farm’ opportunities as I see local food as a growing opportunity; and I have unique skills for residential clients as I have built several homes and know/understand “what is behind the walls” that may be a surprise if not understood.
I live on a 200 acre ‘small farm’ with my wife Diana . We have farmed an assortment of critters, sheep, beef and poultry. Together we have five girls, all working, and have graduated out of the home. We have two granddaughters. Amy is now partnered with me in real estate.
I value:
- Honesty, integrity, loyalty
- Respect for people
- Professionalism

Amy Fisher, Real Estate Agent, REALTOR ®
I was born in 1995 and I grew up on a farm in the Kemptville/Merrickville area. I have an abundance of siblings and an overall large family, which I absolutely love. I currently live in Smiths Falls with my significant other and our little dog, Teddy. We bought my first home in spring 2020.
I became a registered Real Estate agent in February 2020, working alongside my father, Jim Fisher. I used to work as a manager/waitress for a cafe for 11 years and I also have my own small baking business. This has given me a strong background and understanding of customer service and the value of hard work. I also went to college for baking and then fitness and health.
In my free time, I love to bake, cook, try new things, and create, and I enjoy relaxing with a puzzle every now and then.
I think in real estate it is important to be professional, understanding, honest, and knowledgeable. It needs to be treated like any other professional business. I’m looking forward to the years to come and the people I will meet in this career.
